About the Maker

Hi! My name is Samantha

I am a stay at home mom, with two kiddos that I homeschool. To say that life gets busy is an understatement. A few years before we had kids, both my husband and I worked at the same place, and we wanted to make a change for the better. We took a leap of faith, and fell. Hard. And by this point, we were expecting our first, and terrified of what we were going to do. We had fallen in to severe financial hardship, and had to make a change, yet again. We prayed about it, and my husband was able to get his job back at our former workplace, which meant that I could stay home to raise our littles, which was important to us. God had blessed us BIG TIME.

But as I am sure you know, times changed, again. And things were slowly becoming more difficult. Once again, we were feeling the financial pressure. By this point, we now had two kids, and were getting ready to homeschool the first.

If you know me, then you know that I am a very creative person. And I also have that voice in my head that sees something and thinks, "Hey, I could do that!" Well, it was around this point that I had discovered polymer clay jewelry. So we took another leap of faith, and I started buying the supplies needed to create some unique earrings. I had no idea how things were going to go, but much to my surprise, I had people buying my work. I was shocked! And thrilled, and excited, and also nervous and terrified. This was all so new, and not something I had thought I could do.

Growing up, I loved anything artistic. Whether it was the musical arts, or visual arts, that's where my passion was. And It didn't stop there. If I could get my hands on some tools and just start creating things, I was happy. Even if it was wood working in construction (bet you didn't know that about me...). But I didn't think I could make a living out of it. I had been told by various people that it was unrealistic to seek a profession in the field of arts. And I believed that. I set aside my dreams at a young age, and was left unsure of what I wanted to do, or be.

So knowing this little bit about me, you can see how surprising it has been to me that I could make a success out of a small, handmade jewelry business. And I still have so much growing to do!! But God willing, I will keep growing, and learning, and helping out our family financially.

This is a journey, an adventure if you will, and I would love it if you stuck around for the ride.
